This is the first of two instructor courses that prepares students for the Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification exam. Topics include Basic Networking Concept, the OSJ Model, TCP/IP Protocol Suite, Networking equipment and hardware, Networking Media Standard, cable installation, and equipment procedures of basic routing processes and configuration. During training, students actively participate in the trainer's presentation, demonstrate best teaching practices, understand roles and responsibilities of the monitoring process, and complete all orientation requirements. Prerequisites: Students will take Pedagogy Test and session pre-test, register for training session with Cisco, and download and preview curriculum two weeks prior. Approval of instructor or Dean required.
