This course is the first of four courses leading to the Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) certification and is based on the Cisco Networking Academy CCNP 1 Advanced Routing curriculum. It introduces students to scaling IP networks and using VLSM, private addressing, and NAT optimized IP address utilization. The majority of the course content relates to learning how to implement the RIPv2, EIGRP, OSPF, IS-IS, and BGP routing protocols. Additionally, the course details the important techniques used for route filtering and redistribution. Students completing this course will be prepared to take the CCNP Advanced Routing Certification Examination, the first of four exams leading to CCNP certification. Prerequisite: CIT 2213 or current CCNA certification.
