This course prepares students for the pace and content of Intermediate Algebra. It introduces the abstract thinking and concepts of algebra. Some of the concepts taught include factoring, linear and quadratic equations, special products, roots and radicals. Enrollment in the course is voluntary or required based on placement testing. The instruction for this course will be given via computerized instructional modules with an instructor present during all class meetings. All assignments will be completed in the computerized classroom. Students may also need to do additional math work in the computerized classroom outside of regular classroom hours.
