This course is an in-depth study of the latest release of Autodesk Viz 4 software, the ideal visualization tool for anyone involved in the computer aided design industry. Topics covered will include developing a VIX or Max/AutoCAD strategy, exploring the interface, efficient modeling, modifiers and the modifier stack, efficiency in materials, and lighting. Students will generate walk-throughs of their design and view them as rendered scenes from any angle in real time. Students will also create a variety of photorealistic materials to apply to their designs and conduct lighting studies using raytracing and realistic shadowing. Prerequisite: CAD 1203.
