The last in a series of four GIS courses is a capstone course for students which studies management of geographic information, system life cycle costs, and benefits. Topics include management of data, information storage/access, standards for spatial data, and demographic modeling and analysis. Projects involve applying GIS tools to analyze complex multidimensional problems. Upon completion and successful approval of their capstone project, the student will be eligible to test for national GIS Certification. Prerequisite: CIS 2123 or permission of instructor.
