This course prepares students for the Cisco Multilayer Switching Certification Examination, the third of four tests leading to the CCNP Certification. The course is based on the Cisco Networking Academy CCNP 3 Multilayer Switching curriculum and trains on the deployment of state-of-the-art campus LANs, focusing on the selection and implementation of the appropriate Cisco IOS services to build reliable, scalable, multiplayer-switched LANs. Students develop skills with VLANs, VTP, STP, inter- VLAN routing redundancy, Cisco AVVID, QoS issues, campus LAN security, and transparent LAN services. This course will typically be offered in the evening based on demand and is geared toward network professionals working toward CCNP Certification. Prerequisite: CIT 2213 or current CCNA Certification.
