In this very important course, students access files, XML data, and MS Access and MS SQL Server databases. With the introduction of the .NET framework, Microsoft created ADO.NET. This set of classes accesses files, databases, and XML streams in either connected or disconnect configurations. Disconnected data sets are particularly useful with accessing web sites and web databases where open connections are not maintained. Prerequisite: CIS 2443. Pre- or co-requisite: CIS 2743.
