This course develops basic skills in reading blueprints (paper and electronic format) and introduces the student to various types of working drawings for engineering and manufacturing purposes with an emphasis on the basic concepts of orthographic projection, sections, 3D visualization, dimensioning, and symbol libraries. This course also introduces industry-leading CAD software. The lecture portion of the class is generic to all trade areas while the lab portion tailors to students' particular areas of specialization.
