This algebra-based chemistry course is applicable for chemistry and other science majors and pre-professional students. This is the first course of a two-course sequence. The course content provides a foundation for work in advanced chemistry and related sciences and includes in-depth study of nomenclature, atomic and molecular structure, stoichiometry, bonding, and reactions. A "C" or better in RED 1003 or ACT Readingscore of 19 or higher (81 on Compass) AND a "C" or better in MAT 1133. MAT 1223 isstrongly recommended as a pre- or co-requisite.
