Most next-generation video games are 3-D, so this course focuses on 3-D gaming environment. Building upon what was learned in Game Development I, students explore the use of a 3-D engine, which will allow real-time rendering of 3-D models. Topics include polygon meshes, clipping, ray-tracing, game physics, and terrain movement. Students are expected to put what they have learned from previous game development classes together with this one to create portfolio-quality products by the end of the semester. Prerequisite: CIS 1453. Pre-or co-requisites: CIS 2743, 2663, 2823.
