This is an algebra-based chemistry course specifically designed for majors in healthrelated professions. It is not appropriate for chemistry or other science majors or preprofessional students. Course content provides a foundation for work in health-related areas. Topics include nomenclature, atomic and molecular structure, bonding, and reactions. Prerequisite: RED 1003 with a "C" or better or ACT reading score of 19 orhigher (81 on Compass) AND a pre- or co-requisite of MAT 1133 or higher or College Algebra-level ACT/COMPASS scores.
