This course is composed of a series of lectures and discussions introducing the topics of environmental science including factors related to population, water, soil, wildlife, forest and air quality. It includes the study of man's interaction with the environment, the energy crisis, and pollution problems including solid waste, noise, pesticides, radiation, and poisonous substances. Offered in even-year spring semesters. Prerequisite: RED 1003 with a "C" or better or ACT Reading score of 19 or higher (81 on Compass) ANDCP 0633 with a "C" or better or Math ACT of 15 or higher (19 or higher on CompassAlgebra).
