This course builds on the student's conversational skills in American Sign Language from ASL IV. Emphasis is on ASL linguistics and advanced signing comprehension and production skills. Information about Deaf culture ASL will be explored in the context of language learning experiences. Prerequisites SLIS 1040 with a "B" or better or equivalent and permission from SLIS director.
