SLIS 2292 - Translating from ASL to English

Students will experience challenging translation exercises using live and recorded source material that leads them into the interpretation process. Students put interpreting theory into practice as they translate monologues and dialogues from the source language (ASL) to the target language (English) with the goal of consecutively interpreting the information for evaluation. Students will begin to develop team interpreting techniques. This course will be taught in a five week format. Prerequisites SLIS 2210 and SLIS 2270
