This course emulates common issues and situations found in the Help Desk or IT support environment. The student extracts data from common user interfaces such as web, e-mail, phone and in-person contact; evaluates necessary actions; and follows through to user resolution. Extensive use of Knowledge and Incident Management software is included. Discussions center on appropriate methods to deal with customers in a professional manner while extracting data necessary for resolution or elevation to upper level IT support personnel.
