This course introduces the student to IBM iSeries RPG. The student learns how to use the RPG specifications to create programs using structured programming techniques. The student codes, compiles and tests RPG programs that process database files and produce reports. This course will also cover any new topics or technology in the iSeries area. Prerequisites INFO 1003 and INFO 1112 COBOL is a "cross-platform" language. It is recommended that the student be familiar with at least one software development platform usable for COBOL, such as MS-Windows (INFO 1110), Linux/UNIX/AIX (INFO 1111), IBM iSeries (INFO 1112), or IBM mainframe (INFO 1114 or 1115, as the case may be).Course is offered On-line
