This course will teach the student about ornamental grasses, rushes and sedges that will grow in Nebraska either as an annual or perennial. They will learn the correct environmental conditions for each plant, so that placement in the landscape will be 'right plant, right place'. Propagation of the grasses will be included also whether it is a warm or cool season grass so they know when it can be propagated. They will learn the landscape value and companion plants for each of the plants studied. Prerequisites HORT 1100
