This course examines the procedures and techniques for the collection, comparison, and analysis of the physical evidence relative to the are of fire origin. Also studied are principles of evidence of ignition phenomenon and propagation variables; legislative, economic, psychological, and sociological variables of the incendiary fire; the role of insurance and government programs; and data analysis and prediction techniques, including pattern analysis.
