This course is designed for students planning to transfer and enroll in the Teacher Education Program in the College of Education at the University of Nebraska-Omaha, but may be of interest to others. It will focus on the growth, development and learning processes of the individual from conception through adolescence. The class will emphasize how current educational practices and theories of development and learning impact and influence each other. Students will investigate how physical and emotional development of children and teens impacts their cognitive growth. Students will apply their knowledge to field observations and laboratory experiences in order to adequately internalize and transfer the course content to the teaching environment. Prerequisites Successfully completed the PPST and successfully completed 35 quarter hours of college credit at MCC Course is offered On-line
