In this course the student receives an in-depth study of the whole child. An examination of the following is made: factors which impact on the development of the child, research methods utilized to acquire such data, and developmental changes which occur in each level/stage of childhood. Study is focused on the domains of physical, social, emotional and cognitive development in infancy, toddlerhood, early childhood, middle childhood, and adolescence. An analysis of the theories explaining such development is also made. Students are required to do observation in a variety of settings. Prerequisites (select 2 from the following) ECED 1110 or ECED 1120 or ECED 1230 or PSYC 1130 Course is offered On-line
