The student gains knowledge and planning skills in all of the procedures needed to operate early childhood education programs. Policy making, record keeping, staff management and training, supervision, budgeting, hiring and dismissal of staff procedures are analyzed. In addition, program management of spatial resources, health and safety programs, foodservice operations, parent relations and future trends in the operation of early childhood settings are explored.
