It examines how the war on terrorism affected first responders, how it transformed local and state governmental planning, and how it defined a new relationship between state and federal government. The course will explore changes in the American prospective on constitutional rights, the capacity of the government and the criminal justice system to respond to international acts of terrorism and how to keep America safe.
