(3 class hrs/wk, 3 cr) W/Sp Reviews writing skills required for effective communication by focusing on basic writing conventions in sentences and paragraphs. Instruction includes basic communication skills, language mechanics, grammar, some spelling, sentence structure and paragraph development. Designed for students who want a refresher on the basic components of good writing. After taking the course, students wishing to continue in writing classes would retake the placement test to see which class to take next. Prerequisite: Successful completion of WR 050 or appropriate score on the Computerized Placement Test, basic computer skills and access, on-site orientation session.
