(54 hrs, 5 cr) As needed Prepares students training to work as a member of a Pharmacy Technician health care team to effectively communicate pharmaceutical information to a variety of health care professionals using correct spelling and pronunciations of selected pharmaceuticals which will help ensure patient safety in pharmaceutical usage. Students will obtain knowledge of a large number of pharmaceuticals including generic and trade names and an understanding of how they work in the body, including the usual dosage of a drug. Prerequisite: MTH 095 Intermediate Algebra and WR 115 Introduction to College Writing.
