(9 class hrs/wk, 1 cr) F/W/Sp/Su Prepares the student in basic first aid and adult CPR and provides information to properly administer the necessary immediate care to an injured or suddenly ill person. An emphasis is placed on early recognition of emergency medical situations and taking appropriate steps to stabilize the victim while activating the emergency medical services system.
