(6 class hrs/wk, 4 cr) Sp The third term of a three-term sequence for students in the sciences and professional health programs. Topics include properties and reactions of phenols, aryl halides, aldehydes, ketones, carboxylic acids, and amines, and oxidation and reduction in organic chemistry. Prerequisite: CH 242 Organic Chemistry with a grade of "C" or better. This course includes a laboratory component. This coursemay be eligible for upper division credit.
