(7 class hrs/wk, 3 cr) F/W/Sp/Su Students gain experience by working with young children in an educational setting. Students increase their knowledge of child development and learning environments, begin planning and implementing curricula, and develop skills in guidance and discipline. Prerequisite: ED 101 Observation and Guidance. Recommended: HDFS 225 Child Development or HDFS 248 Learning Experiences for Children or ED 152 Creative Activities/Dramatic Play or ED 179 Literature, Science and Math or ED7.730 Early Childhood Ages and Stages.
