(5 class hrs/wk, 4 cr) W Covers background information in use of herbicides, insecticides, fungicides and other pesticides. Types of materials, safety in handling, storage and method of application are emphasized. Students develop ability to calibrate pesticide application equipment and explain to customers the precautions to be observed with agricultural chemicals. Attention also is given to keeping current with changes in pesticide recordkeeping procedures. Prepares students to take pesticide applicator examination.
