Co-requisites: Required for all Medical Assistant declared majors.Course provides instruction in Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers.The student will learn and demonstrate CPR skills for victims of all ages, use of an automated external defibrillator (AED) and relief of choking.A written exam and skills test must be successfully completed to receive BLS for Healthcare Providers completion card.The student will learn of emergency and disaster response situations within home, work, and community.This course is for Medical Assistant majors.
