Prerequisites: Verified keyboarding speed of 35 correct words per minute, BAS 137, and concurrent enrollment in IT 109, IT 102, ENG 101, ENG 115, MC 140 This course provides experience transcribing medical dictation. Students will increases familiarity with basic and specialty medical terminology and with various types of medical reports and documents. Stresses practice using reference materials, proofreading, and increasing transcription rate.
