Description:
This is the second course of a two-semester sequence in algebra-based physics with a laboratory component. Students apply knowledge and problem solving skills in wave mechanics, electricity and magnetism, optics, and modern physics. This course is intended primarily for pre-professional health science (premedical, predental, preoptometry, prephysical therapy, etc.) and biology students. Typically offered in spring semester only. Students receiving credit for PHYS 1120 cannot receive credit for PHYS 1150 or PHYS 1320. Prerequisite: Completion of PHYS 1110 or consent of instructor.
