Students build on previously acquired nursing knowledge and skills in applying the nursing process to the care of the individual throughout the lifespan with more complex alterations in basic human needs. Students integrate nursing core components: professional behaviors, communication, assessment, clinical decision making, caring interventions, teaching and learning, collaboration, and managing care into the role of the associate degree nurse. Prerequisite: Completion of NRST 1620 and NRST 1720, or competency in first-level program courses. Corequisite: Concurrent enrollment in NRST 2730.
