Students will examine and demonstrate an understanding of the oral disease process, healthy vs. diseased tissue, plaque control methods, and fluorides. Students will evaluate patient education and motivation methods and gain practical experience in assessment of individual patient learning needs and planning teaching strategies to meet those needs. Prerequisite: Acceptance into the Dental Hygiene program.
