Introduces the student to the institution of death in the United States. From a sociological frame of reference, the student will study death as a system for dealing with the social processes of dying, death, and bereavement. SOC 204, 205, or instructor permission recommended. Prerequisite: WRI 121. (Student's are strongly encouraged to have completed SPE111 prior to enrollment as a graded oral presentation may be required.) [As Announced]
