Study and performance of music for wind and percussion instruments from its beginning to present day. In addition to weekly rehearsal, the historical and social perspective of the musical works will be explored. One major concert is presented each term. Rehearsal attendance, musical interpretation, public performance are course components. Attendance at rehearsal is required. Prerequisite: Compotency on a wind or percussion instrument with prior experience in a band. Couse may be repeated for credit; no limit. Course Credits 1.
