Topics include intravenous fluid and medication administration, airway management, pharmacology, ECG and defibrillation, and protocol training. Designed for rural area EMT's providing care above the EMT Basic level. Prior to beginning clinical rotations students are required to submit to a criminal background check and drug screen. Students with inappropriate results will not be allowed to attend clinical rotations and may be disqualified from receiving state certification. Proof of current Oregon EMT-Basic certification, Health Care Provider or Professional Rescuer CPR certification, and immunizations is required prior to registration.
