Three hours lecture plus laboratory. An introduction to the basic concepts of chemistry including nomenclature, atomic structure and bonding, stoichiometry, states of matter, solutions and chemical reactions. A mathematics review and instruction in the proper use of the scientifi c calculator will be included. Recommended for those with little chemistry background and as a preparatory course for College Chemistry.
