This course is directed to train students in the techniques necessary to evaluate a patient's condition, administer pulmonary and cardiopulmonary resuscitation, control hemorrhage, treat for shock, and immobilize fractures before the arrival of an ambulance. It will also prepare the student to take the Kansas State Registry exam as"First Responder".
