A minimum of seven hours of work required per week including: discussions, labs, tests, and completing educational outcomes in course syllabus. A course organized around certain concepts fundamental to the better understanding of the principles of organismal biology specifi cally designed for the biology major. Classifi cation, evolution, evolutionary relationships, kingdoms, phyla, life cycles, comparative anatomy, comparative anatomy, comparative physiology, behavior, and ecological interactions will be emphasized.
