Three hours lecture plus laboratory. A continuation of College Chemistry I. Course content includes chemical reactions and kinetics, equilibrium, coordination compounds and electrochemistry, Thermodynamics, and organic nomenclature. In the laboratory about half the semester is spent on kinetics studies, equilibria, solubility, acid-base titrations using pH meters. The second half of the semester is spent on traditional qualitative analysis. Prerequisite: A "C" or better inCollege Chemistry I PHS1025).
