Prerequisite: TRAV 110 This course focuses on the basic legal concepts and theories of both travel/hospitality law and contract/tort (negligence) law and their impact on the travel/hospitality industry. Emphasis is also on the study of new international and federal regulatory rules concerning travel security and safety. Areas of potential legal concern are identified along with strategies concerning their avoidance. Legal rights and responsibilities of travel industry practitioners, as well as those of the traveling public, are discussed.
