Prerequisite: None, but ACCTG 001 and/or personal experience in preparing the 1040 basic income tax return is recommended This course is designed to expand upon a person's basic personal income tax knowledge. Emphasis will be placed on understanding the tax laws under consideration, analyzing the tax transactions, and reporting them on the individual income tax return form. Illinois income tax laws will also be analyzed as they relate to the transactions being studied. Five three-hour sessions or equivalent.
