OCN 190 is designed to provide a general background in aquaculture methods and systems as practiced in different parts of the world. The course will examine the old and new systems of cultivation on a country by country and species by species basis. The course will provide information on scientific and economic aspects of aquaculture. A discussion on biology, lifehistory and nutrition of cultivated species is provided. (3 hrs. lect. per week)
