Prerequisite: FIRE 103 This course is the first in a series of two EMT Basic courses. This course is designed to develop specific medical skills used in emergency response. Students should be prepared to do practical labs both in class and in a hospital setting. Students are required to pay a lab fee and purchase a limited liability coverage policy while participating in this course. May be taken on a CR/N basis. (3 hrs. lect.; 1.5 hrs. lab. per week)
