Prerequisite: ICS 100 or ICS 101 This course is designed to introduce students to the fundamental concepts and skills of software development. Students learn how programs are written and what the fundamental building blocks are. Students are introduced to the software development process. Topics such as compilers, interpreters, clients and servers, introduction to naming issues, programming languages and syntax are covered. Cross-listed at ICS 110. (3 hrs. lect. per week)
