Prerequisite: CENT 140 This is an intermediate course in computer networking. Enterprise networks, made up of segments of LANs, are introduced. The function of the router in the network is covered, along with various routing protocols. Topics include the installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of the router. This course helps to prepare the student for the Cisco CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate) exam. (3 hrs. lect.; 3 hrs. lab. per week)
