Topics covered include: properties of real numbers, functions, their graphs, systems of equations, interest rates, amortized debt, basic matrix theory, matrix operations, determinants, Gaussian elimination, linear programming, tableaux transformation, simplex (maxmin) algorithms, counting methods, probability and Bayes' theorem. Business and social science applications are emphasized.
