(O) *COURSE DATA: CREDITS: 6 LECTURE: 3 LAB: 6 REPEAT: 0 PREREQUISITE: Acceptance into the Nursing Program Fundamentals of nursing is the study of basic concepts, principles, and skills which are fundamental to the practice of nursing. The student will develop basic skills in utilizing the nursing process. Communication is identified as a necessary element in the identification of common needs of selected medical surgical adults. Delivery of course content is through 48 hours of lecture, 32 laboratory hours, and 64 hours of clinical experience.
