(O) *COURSE DATA: CREDITS: 4 LECTURE: 2 LAB: 4 REPEAT: 0 PREREQUISITE: INFT 180 and ELET 179 or consent of instructor Introduces the programmable logic controller (PLC) as a control element in industrial applications. Students will learn PLC terminology, ladder logic program planning techniques, program editing skills, and how to interface sensors, switches, and output devices to PLCs through hands-on experience with the programmable logic controller (PLC). Students will program and troubleshoot PLC's to carry out common control applications.
