A thorough study of C syntax, structured programming, algorithm development, and problem solving that is covered in the course. Programming applications include temperature conversion, finding roots of a quadratic equation, Euclid's algorithm for greatest common factor and least common multiple, finding roots of a polynomial using the Newton/Raphson Method, matrix operations, descriptive statistics, Monte Carlo simulation of an electric circuit, permutations and combinations using recursion, and a data base application.
